Today I thought I would mix it up and share with you all my skin care and makeup products. Overall, I wear fairly light face makeup and I try to stick to mineral makeup on my face. When I want to play with my makeup a little I usually do so with my eyes or a bold lip. So, today I will be sharing with you my everyday makeup and skin care.
SKIN CARE
When it comes to my skin care, I have always had a very simple and basic set of products that I use everyday. For years I was using the brand Medique which was given to me by my dermatologist after I had a terrible allergic reaction to Lush when I was 16. I just recently switched over to the Beauty Counter at the end of last year, and I absolutely love their products.
I have fairly sensitive skin and so I tend to find a product that works me and stick with it forever. I do not have oily or dry skin, but fairly normal, non-acne prone skin. The following products I use are:
Face Wash: Beauty Counter Nourishing Cream Cleanser
Moisturizer: Beauty Counter Countermatch Adaptive Moisture Lotion
Eye Cream: Beauty Counter Nourishing Eye Cream
MAKEUP
For my makeup I tend to do a very light face and focus my attention on doing some glowy eye makeup and add some glowly highlighter.
Tinted Moisturizer: Pur 4-in-1 Tinted Moisturizer in Light
I love this product to provide some SPF everyday as well as a light even finish to my skin.
Concealer: Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer in 20B
My under eye darkness is my biggest insecurity when it comes to my complexion, so I take my concealer game real seriously. I have searched near and far to find the right concealer, but I didn’t find one I truly loved until I used the Tarte Shape Tape. It is high coverage but does not cake, plus it is fairly affordable and a tube lasts you at least 6 months.
Under Eye Powder: Covergirl Professional Loose Powder in Light
This powder is perfect for under the eyes because it is light and finely milled so it does not crease.
Pressed Powder: Pur 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup Foundation in Light
I use this powder all over the face to give an even look, to set the tinted moisturizer, and to eliminate any shiny spots.
Bronzer: Lise Watier Havana Bronzing Powder
I love this bronzer to give you a nice even glow to the face without leaving you looking brown or orange.
Blush: Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Nude
I like my blush to be nice and light or it starts to look really clown-like, so I think this blush does a really good job and lasts all day.
Highlight: Maybeline Metallic Highlighter in Molten Rose Gold
OR Sephora Collection Illuminate Palette
Both of these highlights work fantastic. I love both the Maybeline powder and the set by Sephora. They both work really well and leave an iridescent shine without being sparkly.
Eye Primer: Urban Decay Primer Potion in Original
Primer is absolutely critical, especially in the summer heat. So, I make sure to use this everyday to prevent and creasing or transferring.
Eyes: Pur Dual-Ended Eyeshadow & Eyeliner Kit – I use in inner corner
ColorPop “It’s a Princess Thing” Palette – “Ray” all over the lid and “One Kiss” in the crease, and “Chip” in the inner corner and under brow bone
Although I change up my look quite often, I do typically go with a simple champagne lid which helps to brighten up the eyes.
Eye Brows: NYX Micro Brow Pencil in Taupe
AND Annabelle Eye Brow Pencil in Taupe
My current favorite brow look is accomplished with a combination of both of these products. They are both inexpensive and work just as well as the big name brands
Mascara: Clarins Supra Volume Mascara in Intense Black
I have never been very tied to a mascara. But, I do really love this one that I received as a gift. It holds curl and it does not clump. I always curl my eye lashes because otherwise my lashes are pin straight.
Overall, this is what I tend to put on my face everyday. I hope that you enjoyed this and some of you found it informative and interesting.
