For this weeks post, I thought I would share with you all my summer favorites! You all really seemed to enjoy my Spring addition, so I though I could make this a seasonal thing. This post will include some beauty, lifestyle, fashion, and media favorites I have had over the past few months. Let me know in the comments which products have been your favorite over the summer.
BEAUTY
1. La Roche Posay Face Suncreen
I have very sensitive skin, so when it comes to skincare and sunscreen I do not cheap out. I love this sunscreen especially for the summer months when I know I will be spending a lot of time outside. It is important to wear SPF all year, but in the summer months, it is especially important. This causes no break outs on my skin and it also sits really nicely under makeup.
2. “Illuminate” Highlighter Palette by Sephora Collection
I love a beautiful glow to my skin, and this palette helps me achieve just that! This palette is very inexpensive in comparison to a lot of the high end highlighters and it achieves that same look as some of the top tier highlights on the market! I love to use this on my cheek bones, but in the summer months I have also been using this as my eye shadows. It makes getting ready in the morning very fast and easy.
3. Lise Watier Havana Bronzing Powder
During the summer months I love to use a Bronzer to get that glowy tanned look without actually tanning my face. Tanning can be very harmful for the skin, so I stick to my Bronzer and it leaves me looking tanned and never orange. I use the shade Havana Light.
LIFESTYLE
1. Better Help
I have been struggling with a few things in my life lately, so I decided to try Better Help to speak with a therapist. I think that EVERYONE should do therapy, no matter who you are or what kind of issues you are dealing with. It is great to get an outsiders perspective on the issues you may be facing.
I love Better Help because it is affordable and convenient. To get started you fill out a simple survey of why you are using Better Help, they match you with a counselor, and then you can begin, You receive one video call a week and you have 24 hour access to chat with your counselor. It makes it so easy and affordable. Plus, I have a discount code for you use.
If you sign up using this LINK you can receive one FREE WEEK of counseling. So, what do you have to lose? Try it out and it may really help you! (As a full disclosure, I am not being paid to offer this link, but I do receive a small discount for every person that signs up through my link! I truly believe this is a wonderful service and I would not promote it if I did not love and use it myself. )
2. “Sleep Well” Roller Ball by Saje Wellness
Sleep is super important to me, and so I love to use this product to support me at night. It helps to calm me down and triggers my mind that it is time for bed. I mentioned this product in one my recent blog posts on sleep tips, so if sleep is something you are struggling with, I would consider reading this post HERE.
3. Lemon Cayenne Cleanse Tea by David’s Tea
This tea is so good to wake up the digestive system and to give yourself a little cleanse. I love to drink this in the morning to get my digestive system going and to start the day off fresh. When I used to have problems with the narrowing in my intestine, I found that this really helped to get things moving.
FASHION
1. Vintage Finds from Russo Closet
I am all about supporting local businesses and Russo Closet is one of my favorites. I love their curated collection of vintage pieces at an affordable price point. She offers a lot of vintage jeans, graphic teas from companies like Tommy Hilfiger, Disney, Calvin Klein and various Sports Teams. It is so important to support small businesses, and also shop in a more sustainable way. Shopping vintage is a great way to avoid clothing filling our landfills. This is one of my favorite finds below, it is a vintage Winnie the Pooh Shirt!
2. Pink Print Maxi Skirt by Joe Fresh
Throughout the summer I wanted to wear more skirts and dresses to work and I loved this find from Joe Fresh. It is light enough that it is great for the summer, but the length makes it a little more conservative and stops my legs from freezing from the office air conditioning.
MEDIA
1. Hustler Hot Seat Podcast
I absolutely love Kierstyn Pare and her podcast. This podcast features tips and tricks for entrepreneurs and hustlers to go after their dreams. She covers topics from how to market for your niche and how to land your dream clients, while interviewing some amazing people. Be sure to check out her podcast, and especially Episode 23, where I was featured!
2. Other People’s Lives Podcast
Every week the podcast hosts have an anonymous phone call with someone who has a unique story to tell. They have had people share their stories on the show with topics ranging from living with schizophrenia, to being an inmate in prison, and being a phone sex operator. I love to learn about unique peoples stories and the interviews are done in a way that are never judgmental. Check it out if you want something unique to listen to.
So, that is all that I have been loving over the past couple months. If you liked this post please consider sharing your feedback with me so that I know to continue these posts on my blog.
